2014 was a horrible shooting year for me. Safe act deflated my desire to shoot rifles and I worked a lot and had some issues so I barely got to shoot at all. When I did I was rusty and shot badly. I hung onto my J frame and 2 Gen 4 G19 and occasionally shot them but not much. No classes either.

That situation normally shouldn't call for buying any new platforms but I wanted an HK back in my life and wanted to start shooting a lot very soon so I picked up some inspiration.

Got a V7 lem HK45C LE package with 3 mags and ordered 2 10rd mags too. I plan on finally getting back to shooting more and attending a few classes in 2015 and would like to switch between the HK and my G19s.

I was getting used to the difference of poa/poi vs the G19 and did some 7yd slow fire. Out of 8 I would have a couple fliers but could clover 5 of them when I relaxed. I was very happy with that being rusty and learning the gun. No malfunction (super low Rd count so far but thought I'd mention it). Super soft recoil and comparable to the full size. Comfortable grip.

Like her so far. May black out the rear 2 dots and I bought 2 springs in case I want to reduce pull weight. So far (surprisingly) I'm fine with pull weight.

I want a 45c so bad it isn't funny. Congrats on your purchase and I hope you have a better shooting year than last.

With the $200 rebate combined with my lust for an HK, I couldn't resist.

I did not realize the 45c accepted 10rd magazines.

It comes with 8rd mags but HK makes an ugly ass 10rd nicknamed Elephant Foot. http://www.hkparts.net/shop/pc/10-Round-Magazine-HK45-Compact-USP-45-Compact-p304.htm

No kidding. I'm thinking of snagging a USP9c but idk. Need to finish a mk18 pistol first.

Damn HK!!

Congrats on your new pistol! Here's to a better shooting year in 2015.

Yeah, that SAFE Act, blows. One of my best friends lives just outside Warwick and had gotten into shooting right around the time of the CT shooting. He wasn't too happy about the SAFE Act either.

Just make sure that the gun was made in 2014. The VP9 is the only handgun not included I believe.

Was that a stipulation? I picked up a new p30L that was a 2013 model. New old stock I'm guessing but HK still sent me the rebate cards.

I would carry mine if surefire made a light to fit. I think the x300 is too long.

You're correct. I see you can put a Streamlight on there. One of the new HL models is supposed to fir perfectly and is 630 lumens.

The build date is not a stipulation of the rebate, only the purchased date 11/1/14-12/31/14. And it must be new.

That's correct. Which figures, because the VP9 was the only "new" handgun I bought this year...

The 10 round mag for the HK45 also fits nicely. I've got 3 of the elephant feet mags, and they're great at the range, and as a back up...ugly or not.

HK45C is a GREAT pistol...

I have also never heard the full-size HK45 magazines fit into the 45C

Seeing is believing??

It's the same magazine, with a regular base rather than the "elephant foot" polymer extension....

You need to be careful doing that... If you're one of those people who likes to slam the mag in as hard as you can, you could easily bend the ejector, as there is nothing to prevent the mag from going up the mag well and hitting it.. Not saying you couldn't use the mag in the pic...just be aware... A guy over on HK pro did just that a couple months back..
