I recently acquired a Colt 6920 and am in need of a good red dot to top it off. I've had my eyes on the Aimpoint Pro and was curious what peoples takes are on the choice. It seems a little costly... worth it? Thanks

I have the PRO on my Colt 6920 and am considering another Aimpoint for my new Colt 6940.

The PRO is actually a steal for the quality you are getting. The thing is pretty damn solid and worry proof.

The PRO screams for a more solid mount but the optic is really nice and worth the money since you will NOT be replacing it soon because it crapped out or got knocked around and no longer works.

The PRO is pretty much the Comp M2 with less battery life and ruggedness. If you do not mind a used Comp M2 there are plenty to be had. I have an extra one that had just come off a rifle if you are interested I can part with it.

What do you PRO guys suggest is the best mount for the optic? I am getting ready to upgrade mine.

I've had a PRO for a couple of years, haven't changed the battery yet. I just bought another one. I've found them to be more than rugged enough. The supplied mount works fine for me. I just use that on both.

I can't imagine a better deal anywhere. $347 is a steal!!

I like ADM or Bobro myself for the Pro.

I have yet to see one have an issue, they are a great optic for the price... Think you'll be happy with your ROI...

FWIW, the PRO has a 2MOA dot, while the CompM2's is 4MOA. Also it's the CompM2 that has the shorter battery life (10,000 hrs, compared to the PRO's 30,000).
