I have a Troy Industries AK47 long rail. I thought that I would enjoy the extra reach of the rail (and it is *solid* and very nice) but it turns out that when I extend my stock all the way I can't really reach my support hand beyond the default handguard, so there's not much of a point for me. If you like to use a shorter LOP on your stock, I imagine it would be ideal. I mounted it, pointed it a few times, and it's been in the safe since then.
I can provide pictures if someone is particularly interested. I'm throwing in a 7-piece squid pack (25 bucks) for free… a couple of them have been cut for the rail, but there are still a few more.
