View Full Version : Sig Sights
Anybody replaced Sig sights without a sight pusher? My night sights are DRT on my P239, plan on changing them out with Trijicon 3 dot NS or the Orange HD like on my M&P9 FS. I have an S&W sight pusher, but not a Sig.
Suggestions, experience using a vice and soft punch?
Also going to see if the SRT will work on my 1996 Sig 239. I think it will, just not the DAK.

Just pad your vice jaws, and when in doubt put masking tape on the punch to limit finish marring. Other than that, take your time, and if needs be use a fine file to make any adjustments you need to the sight dovetails.

rwh,
Used to be that a place called Tooltech would replace the tritium lamps on your slide after you sent the slide to them, thus enabling you to keep the same sights and sight location. I think their website is www.tooltechgunsight.com. Maybe shoot them an email so you won't have to worry about removing and then reinstalling your night sights.

BTW- I also have the Sig 239 in 9mm and just finished shooting it in our local match. Great pistol
Thank you for the link oldandslow. I should use the same name and be #2 LOL...My wife would agree completely.
just a note....all P model sigs except the P250 use the same sights if I'm not mistaken. I am looking at sights for my new SP2022 and discovered this today.
The P225, P226, P228, P239, P320 use #8 F&B

I believe that is true for 9mm and .357 Sig. The .40 slides have #6 front with #8 rears.

correct...and SP2022
I just picked up an old (stamped/folded slide) P220 with dead night sights. What height combo does it need? The front sight has a 7, but no markings on the rear.
It Maybe, Thanks for the info. I only have 9mm.
