This guy was clever. He built a home-made 30 round mag loader for AR15 magazines out of plywood.

Aside from the "look what I made" factor, I just don't get it. I can load a mag nearly as fast as he loaded the loader.

No kidding. That thing is clever, but it took him ages just to get it set. I just laid out 30 rounds in 2-15 round rows like this guy and timed myself casually loading a pmag and timed myself @ 47 seconds to this guys 1:07

My fingers are 50+ years old & getting stiff with arthritis, two from being broken.

Gadgets like this help compensate for no longer being nimble.

If he's not selling them, or even putting up plans I don't know what case they would have. Its not illegal to try and make a better mouse trap in the US, yet...

Very true and his homemade example is exactly why maglulas price is ridiculous.
