Saw this on another forum and wanted to put it up here...

If you could only have 3 cans, what would they be?

Mine:

Centerfire rifle: Saker 7.62 due to versatility and durability. (Currently in jail check cashed 11/26)

Pistol: Octane 45 same reasons. (Also currently in jail check cashed 12/14)

Rimfire: Sparrow or Surefire Ryder

Please participate and remember...only 3!

Pistol cans?
Ohh I was thinking of the wrong 'cans'

I was gonna say, 25yo Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, and Paula Dean (that way dinner is always ready, with a side of bacon)

Or Raquel Welch when she was in 1 Million BC instead of J.Lo

I think if you are wanting most versatile list ie. the ability to suppress the widest range of common calibers, you are going to get similar variations of your list--a .30 cal rifle can, a .45 pistol can, and a .22 can of some sort. I would also go with the Saker 7.62 and the Osprey .45. I would get the spectre .22, since you can use it on the 5.7, .22 mag and hornet and others in addition to .22 LR. I guess I'm just a SliencerCo fanboy judging from my list.

AAC Mini4 (I have one)

AAC SDN-6 (I also have one)

A .22 can (still doing research on that one before I buy one)

The obvious answer is a Centerfire Rifle, Centerfire Pistol, and a Rimfire suppressor.

I pick(ed):

Saker 762 (close to the end of my wait)
Octane 9 (I have a jailbroken Trident, no desire to shoot .45)
Spectre II (Best .22 suppressor made)

Actually seeing some nice variety among people who have replied, which is what I was hoping to see. Might be something in there that didn't occur to everyone. Thanks to those who put up their picks so far.

This thread is exactly where I'm at right now. I've come to the same conclusion: 7.62, .45, .22. I'm only really interested in calibers that are truly quiet with a suppressor (i.e., not 5.56). I've heard that folks are getting good results quieting 9mm with a .45 can and the 7.62 can is mainly for 300 BLK subs. For a .22 can, I was thinking the Thompson Machine "Operative" is probably the most practical set up. Can a .22 can really hush up a .22 pistol?
