Hello everyone, I am in the process of looking to purchase a large amount of ammo for my rifle. I would like suggestions on what would be the best ammo to buy in bulk for my particular situation. My rifle is a Knights Sr-15 with a 16" barrel and a 1:7 twist. Considering my Barrel length and twist ratio, what ammo would you recommend that is cheap to buy in bulk but still maintains a good balance of reliability, overall accuracy and reliable fragmentation?

They'll probably move this to the Ammo/reloading forum....

But the CBC/Magtec 77 gr MK262 clone is about the best bang for the buck. It can be had for around $0.50 per round and is your best balance of price and quality.

A good SD/HD round. Wideners has IMI razercore (MK262 clone)

If your looking for some plinking ammo 55gr m193 or wolf, gold both are brass case if that's important to you.

Many here like the 62 gr CBC stuff for a cheaper alternative to 262. Do a search on it, there's lots of discussion.

Federal XM193, or Israelite M855.

Yeah. That stuff sounds good too if the 50 cent per round range is too high.

Federal XM193 and XM855is $350-ish per thousand now as is IMI M193. Not the most accurate ammo, but it's what I typically stockpile and run..

thank you all for your input. I am very interested in the 77 grain mk262 copy, what is the most likely place for me to actually find it in stock?

scratch that, I believe Ive found it.

Those are also great prices on the xm193, I might have to pick up some of that as well.
