A Serbian-made SIG clone that's a decent bargain ($326 out the door), with a chrome-lined hammer-forged barrel. Evidently called the "Scorpion" in foreign markets. Pretty much an under-the-radar gun, but I hope it shoots OK. If the Serbs make pistols half as well as they despise Muslims it ought to be a winner :p

The original, lesser-known 999 had a selector switch that enabled the shooter to select single action or double action. Guess that variant didn't really take off.

You get two mags, a manual, and a proof certificate with each gun.

I have the same gun, except that it was manufactured in South Africa by Tressitu. It's called the TZ99.

Something I've always found a little difficult to master is the slide release on the Sig. This is a neat design because the slide release and decocker are the same. Seems to be an innovative design. Let us know how it works.

Will it take 226 mags?

I don't know. Maybe another 999 owner can chime in?
