I need a little info. Which model is the 16" goverment profile or pencil barrel.I know the what the 6920 is. Is there a model list/ specification list anywhere that can be accessed.With all the pre bans,post bans,prepost bans and post prebans I have about given up.I got a lot of them but not all I am sure.I LMT is a little easier!!!!

The Colt 6520 is the 16" carbine with a "pencil" barrel, also known as the AR-15A2 Government Carbine.

the postban version is the 6530: without FH & bayo lug, with A2 fixed stock.

The 6530 is not a postban version of the 6520.

The 6530 was made just as long as the 6520 from the mid 1980s.

There are 6530 that are postban in form.

One has a fixed stock, the other has a collapsing stock.

My 6530 didn't have a bayonet lug on the sight block. The 6520 does.

My 6530 didn't have a bayonet lug on the sight block. The 6520 does.


This is another difference depending on what time frame you are in.

Some have the CS marked stock, some don't.

You should get rid of the stock. Sell it to me.

(fixed stocks are SOOOO last season!)
