Is this stuff too light for use in a DI AR? I literally had a bottle dropped in my lap and took it.

Just curious if this stuff will burn off too quickly and/or do more harm than good.

It is NOT synthetic.

That stuff stinks so bad I wouldn't be able to stand it anyway!

I am sure you can find something much better anyway.

Check the Temps. their designed to be used at and the highest Temp. they will still be useable at.:rolleyes:

yeah, no......all it states is that it's able to "withstand extreme pressure, high torque operation and highly resistant to thermal breakdown".

???

hell, i'll keep it for shits and grins.

Too light? That's quite a bit heavier than most lubes you'd find in an AR.

And, yes. Gear oil does have that smell.

ohhh....oops. shows you how much my dumbass knows about viscosity and lubricants....hell, i'm using it anyhow.

I use SYNTHETIC 5W-30

5w-30 works extremely well for me, however I am switching to 10-40w just because I think it will stay put a bit better.
