I'm looking to suppress my loaded m1a. I found 5/8x24 adapters from gemtech and smith. Are these adapters a good route to go or what? Thanks.

Surefire might have mount options as well, the smith ent. can mounts to their flash hider.

I've used the Gemtech on an M14. All reports I've heard about the Smith/SEI version is that QC is lacking.

Depending on the suppressor, there may be a qd option made as well.

Other things to check out is a Schuster gas plug to bleed off excess gas.

I already ordered the schuster figuring it would be a necessity. I'm hoping to run a trifecta brake on one of the adapters for my saker. Pity about the smith, was kind of leaning that way...
