Ok so I'm trying to decide on a barrel, help me out. I'm deciding between a Faxon Flame Fluted 16" mid length 1:8 twist running for $239, a BCM 16" mid length 1:7 running for $239 as well and a Spikes Tactical 16" mid length 1:7 going for $219.. Any recommendations?

What are you going for with this carbine? you have a stainless and two CMV barrels listed. I'd really recommend checking out the "barrels 101" sticky in the technical discussion board. That helped me figure out the main categories and uses of different barrel types when I showed up here. Your own research of the resources on this site will yield a better result than all of us just giving you a recommendation. The important part is knowing why certain recommendations are being made.

So im now between the Spikes and the BCM... Which one?

BCM. For 20$ you get a dimpled barrel to properly install your gas block and a correctly sized gas port.

Why are you considering a Faxon Flame Fluted Mid-length 16" Barrel? What features does it have you need or want? What will it do for you the others will not?

I would recommend DD, but I've put around 150-200 rds thru my friends build with the BCM ELW, Amazing is right

I did TONS of research before buying mine a couple weeks ago

They are SO light and amazing feeling.
