View Full Version : HK .45usp
Alright, I really do want one of these after looking at a few different 45's, the only thing I want to know, is how in the HELL do you all pay 50-55 dollars per mag?
I know, people with Ferraris, don't care how much gas cost:p

Are you wanting an HK45 or a USP 45?

I guess you just get use to the price of USP mags. Have you looked at the HK45? It has a better rail system. I have USPs in both 40 and 45. But I still use my XD-45 more. Just my .02

Really, given the cost of ammo these days, the cost of the mag just isn't much of a factor. Yeah, the HK is $20 more than a Glock mag. But it really isn't much more than a quality mag like a Trip Reasearch.
H&K makes their magazines in house, as opposed to simply letting ACT or Mecgar do it. I suspect this is why HK mags tend to be expensive. Also, look at the current price of a Glock mag. Good lord, it is just plastic with a few metal bits pressed in. I am not sure a $19.99 Glock mag is really a better value than a $49.99 HK mag, given the materials and fit and finish.

I would take a look at the HK45 before I bought a USP45. The new HK45 is a big step forward in ergos, compared to the USP. I owned a USP 45 and liked it alot, but would never go back to it now. Mags are expensive when it comes to HK's, try CdnnInvestments. I believe they have them around $40 each.

CDNN has them for 50.00

CDNN has the Flat Bottom mags for $39.99 and the Finger Rest mags for $49.99. The finger rest isn't worth $10.00 to me, so I ordered the Flat Bottom mags for my HK USP45.
HK mags are expensive, but well made. I like the pistol, so the high price of mags is the cost of doing business. Without good, reliable mags the weapon is just another singleshot.:)

Bingo! Without quality mags you have no gun.

Top Gun Supply wants $53.95 for the same mag CDNN sells for &49.99. In addition, CDNN routinely has free shipping for orders over $150 (and it's not hard to get there when you're ordering H&K mags.):D
