was handle but carefully. I did dry fire a few times and the single action is very nice and crisp.
I bought this brand new in Jan 2014 from a local gun dealer.
My intentions were to replace a Ruger Blackhawk my dad gave me but I could not shoot that gun because of the short Ruger grip and my hand size (3X). This gun had the longer Bisley grip which fit my hand, so I bought it.
While I was likely never to shoot this gun, I wanted something in 44 mag just to have. I don't want to sell as I like the tough look and the strength potential of this gun, however I am getting involved in a LEO Big Bore match (for fun) and they are all using DA .41/.44 Smiths. The only way I can get a Smith 44, sell this one. So this one has to go to pay for the gun I bought :(

Everything I got with the gun is included (box, papers, fired case-dated 2013, and lock)
there is a slight finish change on the side where it is stamped Ruger New Model 44 Magnum Cal. Right next to "Cal." it appears the factory person putting the final finish on the surface changed directions with his polishing wheel. to the untrained eye or the photo image, you cannot see it however I did not catch it when I bought it, but giving it a close inspection in the light, I did see it. I only say this as I want the buyer to be fully aware of any potential imperfections. This gun is unfired except for the factory test and it was only handled. I did oil it and put it in the original plastic bag it came it inside the box.
