I totally agree with this, the whole thing is a great idea, and then they screw the pooch with that asinine barrel profile. I wouldn't say carbine vs. mid gas kills it for me so much as the M4 Gov. profile barrel being a total no go for me.

I would assume they feel the LE/MIL community, which makes up the majority of their sales, won't buy it in quantity and they are focusing on higher-margin products that are already in production.
