View Full Version : SAM-R front sight ?
I'm in the process of building a SAM-R, I have everything else except the KAC FS/GB (in my dreams I guess). Any alternatives? I'm thinking it has to be pinned just in case s@#t happens. Your thoughts.....? Thank you.
GG&G's looks similar.
KAC's are pretty tought to acquire -- Mine are pinned in -- but I think on a civilian firearm that a set screw system would hold (I'd never do that on a duty weapon anymore...)
I acquired a pretty good deal on a new PRI FS. But i'll check the GGG as well. Thank you.
Kevin, do you a picture of your SAM-R?
PRI would be the next best thing if you can't get ahold of a KAC unit.
I am not impressed with the PRI unit we had one on a gun at the Ft Benning sniper comp that when struck moved a bit and gave us a single shot SPR.
Here is an old pic prior to me bashing the gun up.

What is the lever on front of the sight tower? ( top of the KAC sight when folded down)
Lock latch.
The sight can be left unlocked up (spring tension and detent up) locked up - or locked down.
Very slick! Thanks for the info.
I'm revisiting this old thread, looking for a 2012 update:
Are there any SAM-R GB/FS currently available, aside from the bolt-on GG&G?
