I would like to use an RCOM reversed so as to better afford proper eye-relief with a VCOG. This picture illustrates:

From what I have seen of the underside of the GDI mounts, they are completely symmetrical regarding the recoil lug. However, does the recoil/counter-recoil affect the locking lever? Might it not suite the RCOM to be run backwards (or with the VCOG at all...?) due to the weight of the VCOG (23oz) vs. the ACOG's it was designed for, initially?
Has anyone run an RCOM, or other GDI mount backwards (lever closes to the FRONT instead of the back, as displayed by GDI)?
Thank-you!
