Hi all,
I'm looking at muzzle devices. I was going to buy a Miculek to get the best brake for the buck, and then I was going to buy a linear compensator (Black River?) to play with if the Miculek is too loud/too much blast.
Then I stumbled across this:
http://www.kineti-tech.com/kineti-tech-muzzle-brake-with-sound-redirect-with-13-16-x-16-threaded-sleeve-2-piece/
It looks like the best of all worlds... I could shoot with the bare brake to mitigate felt recoil, and then I could put the shroud on when shooting indoors or under cover or when the guy at the next bench threatens to shoot me. It barely costs as much as a .308 Miculek or a decent linear comp, never mind both.
On the downside, it seems slightly gimmicky, I'm not sure that the shroud could be tightened down enough to stay on yet still be removeable, "StressProof Steel" sounds like BS, and it's suspiciously inexpensive.
Thoughts?
