Same here. And unfortunately, Remington is 3-4 years too late bringing these guns to market. Lots of options for ambi controls these days and proprietary modular mounting solutions have been surpassed by keymod and mlok. I actually shot that piston gun several years ago at the last Suppressor Shoot. It had a stupid high cyclic rate on full auto.

Man, these guys are goofballs.
I'm with mtdawg169 on this one... I like the ambi-lowers.
But I am baffled as to why Remington decided to go with their own proprietary mounting system on their ARs when you have M-LOK and KeyMod out there. I can understand having their own system for their bolt action rifle chassis, but I don't get why they need it on their ARs. Oh, and the handguard looks pretty fat.
That guy was a used car salesman in another life.
He still is in this one, too.
Remington? They might climb back on the horse and reclaim their former gun manufacturing glory, but aside from their little 1911/22LR pistol, I can't imagine owning anything that they make for a long, long time.
This is the guy that thought that R51 9mm was a great idea... The Freedom Group, freedom from quality controls
I have come to seriously despise big green
I got 40 seconds in and threw in the towel. Couldn't do it.

That's about as far as I made it, too.

Those handguard & upper designs have literally been around for at least 4 years at Remington. They aren't even new, just old designs that they decided to push into production. Back when they originally designed them, they would have probably sold very well. But now, they're literally obsolete before the first one hits a dealer shelf.
FYI, dudes name is Billy Birdzell. He is former MARSOC. He also used to work at the NRA.

They needed for others to show features they can copy ;)
For eg. ambi controls look exactly like on HK416A5 from 2013.
does anyone have an answer to NY question

I haven't go an answer but from the video, it looks like they've taken design elements off the Rainier Raptor and included them in their design. They may be fine weapons but after the R51 fiasco, I'd be very cautious.
