I was browsing on cheaper than dirt's website, and I came across these.

First of all, would you guys say that these are legit aimpoints?

I was looking at them partially because they are cheap for aimpoints, plus I thought that for my uses(varmit and predator control), a little magnification might be nice, but there isn't so much magnifiaction that it would be useless at close range. Is there any reason to pick a 2x aimpoint over a normal one? Also would I still get similar eye releif to a 1x aimpoint? Thanks.

I'm sure they are legit. I don't know how much of a difference 2x will make. I have a standard Comp C3 and it's great. It's just like an ML2, just not waterproof as deep and not "mil-spec." It also gives you the option to purchase a 2 moa version which is better than 4 moa for what you want it for. It has been flawless and uses their new technology that gives it like 50,000 hours of battery life. The mount that came with it is worthless for AR use, I use a Larue. I'm not sure about the eye relief.

There is a reason these are cheap. They are being closed out. the 2x Aimpoints are leaving the Aimpoint catalog AFAIK

How well do you guys think that aimpoint would work with a savage scout? I figured that then I'd have some magnification as well as a better field of view than what is offered by a standard scout scope. Plus if I decide that it doesn't work, the aimpoint can easily go on some other gun.
