Don't reload, have a new BCM BHF KMR lightweight 16" 1/7 upper with mod 0 comp and I'd like to try 4-5 different loads just to determine accuracy potential limited by my own ability. Will be shooting 100 yards off bags on bench, 4-12 Vortex scope, SSA trigger. Previous experience is with 1/9 twists and could use suggestions for brands/weights for the 1/7. Everyday shooting will continue to be with regular 193/855 range fodder but would really like to know what it could do and not spend a ton of $ experimenting all over the place. I''m thinking Black Hills SMK 77gr. and 69gr match, Hornady 75gr Superformance match .556, any others? Thanks for any input.

The two I'd use are 77 gr CBC/Magtec and Federal Gold Medal Match in 77 or 69 gr.

50-55 gr VMAX loaded ammo will also likely drop your jaw.

Really!? Would have thought 50-55 better suited for 1/9. Thanks, may put it in the mix.

I was extremely dissapointrd with the superperformance out of my 1/7. My 2 best groups have been with 60gr TAP and the AE black box 50 gr varmint tipped ammo.

I've always had great accuracy with Fiocchi's 77gr SMK load. Equally as accurate as FGMM in the 2 guns i tested it in.

Thank you for the replies, this upper was not intended to be a tack driver and will normally be equipped with an aimpoint PRO. Hoping for 1-1 1/2 moa though with right ammo and if I do my part. Realistic with this lightweight barrel?

Black Hills is good stuff but you have to find out what YOUR rifle likes.

That inexpensive ammo has produced excellent accuracy in numerous AR's.
Good to know as its available locally for me. I may need to pick some up to try.

Sounds right in line with my experience, and what I've seen posted from others. My bbl is not BCM, but it's a Cr lined lt wt.
