View Full Version : New Aimpoint PROs have no rubber cap keepers anymore?

Hi all, can you guys confirm this?

Looks like on the newer PRO they dropped those rubber battery/windage cap keepers and just have the windage caps tethered to the base - just like on the new ACO.

A guy is selling one locally like this and want to make sure it's legit.

That is NOT correct. Aimpoint PROs still come with the flip covers.

I have a new one...they did make small changes. There are still caps for the battery and adjustments, but the rubber strap is not one piece deal anymore. Its separate for the windage, elevation, and battery. Its less cluttered. Each cap has its own strap now.

My bad...I miss read initial post. Thought you were asking about flip cover for the lens.

Ok sweet. I picked the new one up and all is good in red dot land.

That would be pretty crazy if there were that many out there - especially since it was just a few years ago they allowed sales to public on these. Buy who knows, these are THE optic to get if you need the least expensive "premium" red dot. Kind of like the Glock 19 is to handguns, IMHO.

Here's a comparison for those curious. I actually kind of prefer the looks of the older style - more finished. Also it's nice to be able to move the caps more out of the way... Oh well.

The new manual also list the housing as being extruded as well, if I remember correctly.

I like the new ones better. Those appear to be the same caps as the M4 & M4s use.

Good to see they're improving their PRO, I don't like the Micros at all but I use a PRO.
