I'm looking to buy a rifle, but I live in MA so my choices are limited.

I was looking at a RRA Predator Pursuit to use as a target gun. It seemed to offer all the options that I thought I would need.

The more I thought about it, though, I realized I might be limiting myself. How much difference will I notice between a 20" barrel and a 16" one at 100yds? Am I better off buying a S&W M&P15T and putting a better trigger in it?

Botht the S&W and the RRA are roughly the same price.

If you are strictly shooting under 100yds, I feel a precision/varmint rig is overkill. I think a standard carbine with optic will offer you good performance in a more manageable package.

The 15T I've seen have decent trigger and other nice components, no need to throw more money into it off the bat.

You sure get a lot of good stuff with the S&WM&P15T like the Troy 10" rail 1913 handguard and their iron sights.

This is a target using a TA11F ACOG sight firing 30rds quickly from a rest. The 16" 1:9 bbl. works great.:) And their Std. Military/Police gives good results.
