I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that we will have a Putin-esque former intelligence operative hand-picked by the American intelligence apparatus in the office of the presidency in the near future. Maybe not 2016, but probably on or before 2024.

Now where did I put that hat box for my tin foil hat....

Where's the outrage over this? The lack of people demanding that the gov't stop this is incredible.. Nobody, it seems, cares. They don't care that the gov't just took away any and all privacy they thought they had. Of course many, having been taught that they have nothing to fear if they have nothing to hide, They don't see a problem. Trouble is, history shows us that tyrannical gov'ts at some point turn on their own people. Those who thought they had nothing to hide will find themselves packed into a boxcar with those that did.. Only then will they understand that they pissed away their freedoms... At this point, considering both Republican and Democrats support this kind of behavior, nothing in this country is going to change unless one of three things happen. 1. Economic collapse. 2.Civil war. 3. WWIII. Of these 3, I figure 1. and 3. to be likely, and of the two I figure 3. being most likely considering the current events in Ukraine. In the mean time, I guess if any of us no longer want to be spied on, we'll just have to unplug the computer, pull the battery out of the cell phone and do without.
