Anyone paying attention should come to this conclusion.
ATF even mentions re-classifying ONE type of 5.56 ammo and aaaaaaaal hell breaks loose. Just try buying some plain ol stupid dirty steel-case ammo and you see what I mean - and forgedabout real decent ammo!
So this greentip - seeing what it does to reactive steel - and yes i own quite a bit of it - believe me not NOT for training, so I'm a bit at a loss why it's being touted as this 'popular training ammo'? Like...how many of us really use it en-masse for training???
This whole thing is total horseshit, and it should teach us we cause our own problems most of the time, really. Just created another mini ammo (mostly 223/5.56) shortage all by our own doing.
....'OOOOOH....they may ban 'greentip'.... so I better stock up on every bit of ammo I can get..'...
