Looking at picking one up just thought I'd ask if there are any other options out there. I spend a lot of time in a vehicle and want something that I can run a front plate if I choose and has an open back.

Thanks guys

I run an old Eagle RRV sometimes for training, it's a great piece of kit but I've never run a plate in it.

LBT is making their version again-

How does the LBT version stack to the old Eagle? A friend of mine had the Eagle one for some time and i always liked it. But he traded it off and i did not get a shot at it. Always found ut to be a great chest rig platform but personally felt the plate was run a bit high in it when he had one in it.

I've been wanting one for a little while now do any of you gentlemen have pictures of your setup?
The big draw to it for me is that it's backless that's my number 1 and that I can choose whether to run a plate or not. I think I just need to pony up for one lol.

Are there other options that I may be over looking? I'm pretty set on this rig but am open to other avenues

Look at the gear load out pic and description thread and come back in a week or so after you look at everything in there. There's a TON of options shown in that thread! I'm sure you can find multiple alternatives as well as variations in there that would be of interest.

How well does the rig work with a battle belt?

There is always the HSGI Weesatch/Woosatch. It is set up to be able to take the back plate carrier off and wear it like a chest rig. The front plate pocket can still be used and you can always attach the back if you want it. I like the HSGI over the Eagle RRV because of the plate holding set up. The Eagle one is a PITA to get set up correctly. The HSGI one is simple, open the Velcro flap and drop the plate in.

Only downside is the back if it was just a harness in the back it would be perfect

It is also a harness if you remove the back. The straps connect to the extra buckles on the side of the rig.

Look at the write up here:

I haven't seen a Wesatch in years- my last impression was that the body was way too big (circumference wise) The design may have changed since the last I saw it. The RRV has merit for certain uses where only a front plate is needed

Quite a few years back I picked up one of the blackhawk RRV's based on the review by MM. It served as my active shooter rig for work. I've since changed up my gear quite a bit, and it just sits in the closet, but I liked the rig. It was comfortable and did what I needed it to do.

Any interest in selling the rrv? I was considering buying a condor one just to try it since it's so cheap in case I don't like it

They are identical I don't know if this current LBT version is made in the US or offhore with their LBX stuff
