View Full Version : Need the scoop on 6.8 spc II uppers or barrels where to buy?

HI guys new here, doing my first AR 15 build and want to build a 6.8 spcII as I am wanting similar recoil and weight factor as the 5.56 but want the hunting options also. Where does one get quality 6.8 SPC barrels and uppers? Not looking for the cheapest just better quality?

I've had awesome luck with Wilson Combat 6.8 SPC barrels. Had a 11.3in 6.8SPC AR Pistol, gonna build a 16in 6.8SPC rifle for Indiana Whitetail season.

He seems to have an outstanding reputation. I have one of his 5.56 uppers that I've been very happy with, and another ARP 5.56 barrel waiting to be tested.

Agreed. While Boson Armory and Ar15Performance are go-to sources for quality 6.8 uppers, I built my own with a 16" Wilson barrel and it is sub .5 MOA. I couldn't possibly be happier. :)

The funny thing is all 3 are rifled and chambered by the same company.

Daniel Defense makes good 6.8 barrels as well, not that there's anything wrong with any of the aforementioned ones.

I bought a complete upper from H a few years back. I've been totally happy with it - its GTG. Best I can tell, he's not currently offering complete uppers. If you want to build it yourself, his barrels and bolts are a great way to go.

I've actually got a 16in and 11.3in Wilson Combat 6.8 SPC barrels I want to get rid of. Be a pretty good pricing if any one is interested.

Agreed - he treated me great! I wish he still offered complete uppers. BTW, H has also been known to post here too.
