View Full Version : Hearing Protection Storage?
I'm looking to buy some Sordin Pro's and was wondering how everyone stores them? I know they are pretty durable but i'd rather not have them bouncing around loose in my bag. Does anyone have any cool solutions? I thought about pelican cases but that might be overkill.

Dude, they are strong like ox. Don't even sweat it man.
I either throw hearing pro in the bag or wrap them around a strap.
I've just thrown them loose in my bag- been doing this for many years with no issues
I put my electronic ear muffs in a separate pocket in my range bag, by themselves with extra set of standard ear plugs and my extra batteries. I used to put my ear muffs in a Crown Royal bag before sticking them in the pocket, but don't even do that anymore.
I think you'll be fine without an extra case.
Stored in one of the side pockets of my range bag. Never a problem.
OK, I admit it, for what I spent on my Pro Ears, I keep them in a hard case. I believe it's the Seahorse SE-300. http://seahorsecases.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=S&Product_Code=SE-300&Category_Code=CARRYING_CASES It seems like a reasonable $20 insurance policy, although it makes hauling your ear protection around a little more involved.

+1 on this. Don't worry about it. They are not that fragile.
next time you buy a pair of dress shoes, keep the dust-bag, should give you more than enough protection.

I had an old school NVG bag from the USMC that's padded and fits my Sordins perfectly. You might be able to find one at a surplus store.
Here is a FleaBay link to what I have been using for sev. yrs. now > http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSA-SORDIN-10054739-GREEN-CARRYING-POUCH-FOR-MICH-PRC-KIT-SUPREME-PRO-HEADSETS-/321570245139?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4adf148a13
It has 3 small interior pockets (batts/small tools etc) and either my Sord Pro-Xs are in the bag or for the last few years a TCI DEHP BTH set of earpro.
YMMV as always but my experience w/ this bag has been VG w/ no regrets after several yrs.
