Hello, I ran a search, & could not come up with an answer to my question, although I am sure it has been covered. When the Trust name is engraved on receiver, must it be continuous on 1 line, or may it be split up for fitment reasons? Thank You, Tom

Correct. There is no requirement on how it has to be displayed. One on of my SBR AR lowers it is two lines, and on my MP5 clone, it is all on one line.

Additionally, there's no size requirement. Only the minimum .003" depth requirement.

Section 7.4.1 in the NFA Handbook says 1/16th of an inch for the SN but in 7.4.2 (additional information) it just says the min depth of .003.

Still learning this stuff. If I'm wrong pleas let me know.

You can place it anywhere you want as long as it's the proper information and visible somewhere on the lower.
If the name of your trust includes the word "The" then it must be included in the engraving along with location.
For example: "The Wally Trust - Mickey City, FL"

Not pertaining to the trust name but the caliber, if your lower is marked "multi" is it best to have this engraved as well? I was thinking that having it noted on the barrel would be okay but it looks like it is laser etched, don't know if that is .003 deep or not.

Thanks!

That the correct info, just the wrong source. The NFA Handbook may give some decent guidance, but it's not the statute.

27 CFR 478.92 and 27 CFR 479.102 both say the same. Everything has a .003" minimum depth requirement, while the serial number also has a 1/16" minimum height requirement.

The firearm, when assembled, needs to have the caliber marked. This can be on the frame, receiver, barrel or pistol slide (if applicable).

.003" is roughly a sheet of paper...if your fingernail catches it, it's probably deep enough.

ETA: ATF Ruling 2013-3 (https://www.atf.gov/sites/default/files/assets/pdf-files/atf-ruling-2013-3-adopting-identification-on-firearms.pdf) is fairly clear on the engraving when using an existing firearm to make an NFA firearm.
