Any one have any loading info on these south african bullets?
Finally got around to loading some Box labeled 2000 bullets 55fr SP Size .224" SP223 55SPC
Distance 50 yards,
range brass trimmed to 1.75, cci primers, h335
daniel defense 14.5 barrel with a2 flash hider

tried various load 23, 23.5, 24,24.5 , 25, 25.5, and finally 26 with COAL of 2.20
Zero Consistancy in group placement, hell can't even get a group they're all over the place

Next same loads played with crimp no change

Last moved COAL out to 2.25 Can't tell any difference either, or i'm just frustrated..
Bullets no longer listed on website, I'm going to call that a clue and just toss the remainder in the garbage..

Thoughts? Pic's shortly

Sierra AR load data (http://accurateshooter.net/Downloads/sierra223ar.pdf) seems consistent with what you tried. Maybe they are just shitty bullets...

Try weighing a couple and see if theres some drastic differences. Does you gun shoot similar bullets ok? Such as the hornady 55gr.sp. have you checked basics such as are you sight mounts for scope tight or if its a removable carry handle is it tight? Just a thought...let us know what you find out.

I'd just sideline these things as blaster/CQB practice bullets. The soft point makes them a little more friendly on steel at shorter distances.
