View Full Version : I need side folding stock for an AK!

I been traveling a lot more here in the past couple of years. I bought a Romanian WASR 10 to take with me, but the damn thing is a pain in the ass to find a good spot it my work van. So I'm thinking a side folder will help on the room factor. I've been looking at the Romanian wire side folder. Those things are getting hard to find. Also the Tapco side folder stands out because everybody has them in stock. Are they junk? Tapco doesn't have the best rep. with ar parts, but I don't know if that carried over to the ak parts.

Just give me some suggestions and opinions on these please.

I have a romanian SAR 3 ak74 sidefolder. Nicest one i've seen and shot. NO play whatsoever on mine. I don't know if they offer the same stock on the SAR 1 & 2"s. I also have an old Norinco .223 AK that I've had several stock configurations on and currently have it converted over to a 4-position ar collapsable stock and am very happy with the quality of the products and think it only ran about $50.

I got mine from Gunsnstuff.com back in 2004 when the Assault Weapons ban expired. I had to buy screws for it at the hardware store.
