Install went smoothly, continued dry firing feels fantastic, but every time I take the MP for live fire- constant problems.

Sometimes I can get through a whole magazine, while other times it's every other round having problems. I'll break my shot, goto reset the trigger and nothing. No reset with a dead trigger. Pulling back on the slide slightly will re-cock the striker and I can normally break another shot. The MP is stock outside of the Apex kit.

What did Apex have to say about it?

Haven't contacted them yet. Was hoping it was an easy fix.

Adjust the candy cane (close it up a little).

How is the reset? If you need more feel, you can bend the trigger bar for more tension.

This.

Which sear spring and plunger do you have?

Just to add some more information. IF you bend the trigger bar, bend it at the right angle bend where the "leg" meets the loop that holds the trigger spring.

Don't put money on me, but I'm tempted to say that you can youtube Randy Lee of Apex tactical showing how to adjust the trigger bar for proper reset.

I'd recommend giving Apex a call. They (Scott?) were very helpful over the phone when I was adjusting an FSS kit. One thing I noticed on the FSS is that the loop geometry will make you or break you. Probably the same situation with the flat faced trigger.

Check out this video by Apex on adjusting the loop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMLv_JaoSkU

Thanks all. I'll try your suggestions after work

I believe the gap in the candy cane should just big enough to allow the business card included with the trigger to barly fit. I installed the AEK trigger and had to do the same

For Failure to Fire issues you open the trigger bar loop.

For Failure to Reset you close the trigger bar loop.

I didn't use feeler gauges, the trigger is amazing once you get it right. nothing quite like it

I needed to open it up just slightly. It was right on the edge, because I never had any problems when dry firing.

I've only got to shoot a box through it since tweaking the candy cane but so far it's amazing. Once I get some Trij HD sights and stipple the frame it might very well replace my PPQ for HD duties.
