Standard Colt L.E. 6920 . Not a bad deal. I was wondering if it is made the same as a regular production L.E. or is it cheaper made?

Walmart Colt LE6920s are sub-par carbines when compared to the standard Colt LE6920 factory carbines. Colt contracted with an unknown manufacturer, whom many suspect to be DPMS, to manufacture carbines with Colt's roll-mark. Seek out a well known, reputable dealer if you want the real Colt. Best of luck!

Ignore post number 3, there is nothing sub-par about a Colt from Walmart vs elsewhere. Just check for all the usual markings, should be marked "Colt Defense" with an "LE" serial number. Barrel should read "C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7", "F" marked front sight base, "C" marked carrier, "MPC" marked bolt.

Are you thinking of a Colt 6900? which is a cheaper commercial spec rifle made by another company (Diemaco/Colt Canada?)

My sarcasm clearly was not correctly perceived.

OP: Wallyworld Colts are GTG.

poster of #3 is thinking of Colt's subcontracted CR-series of AR rifles, made by Bold Ideas of Canby, Oregon.

What were they selling for on Black Friday? $880?

Per rule #2.1a of Sec 3 of the "Official Handbook of Internet Forum Sarcasm" one cannot post a comment stating they "got it" AFTER the original perpetrator of said sarcasm comes forth and admits their post was indeed sarcasm. Any and all subsequent posts insinuating that an individual "got it" or any "LOL'ing" towards individuals who "fell for it" are null & void & now fall under the category of MMQB.

In addition, the post that contains the supposed "sarcasm" is also in violation of rule #1c of Sec. 1 since the post did not contain any of the appropriate emoticons (roll eyes, sarcastic, wink, etc) since the content of his post is of a subject that a handful of Internet gun forum dwellers still believe. For a post to be considered sarcasm & not contain an emoticon, the subject content must be dry in nature &/or be "so out there" so as not to be misconstrued as believable. Then and only then, can someone be called out for "falling for it".

I understood your intended sarcasm, but I don't think it works...

For it to be true "sarcasm" the reader would have to say, "LOL... like Colt would ever sub out builds to some shit-bucket manufacturer and then pay them to apply the Colt rollmark without any attribution to the actual builder... so as to fool the consumer into thinking they're not buying garbage..."

Except that they did exactly that with the 6900.

Actually, if you do a search for what a Colt 6920 is going for on line, the price of that Wally word gun is rather high....

WickedWillis

The price is high, but the gun itself it GTG. I asked this exact same question when I first started on here, and LAV answered it.
