I was able to find some tightgroup today, would you guys think i would get better results with it than the win 231? My hornady book doesnt list it under their 124 gr fmj section, what a suprise.

Hodgens load data only list 1 load for it in a 124gr bullet and its a berrys bullet. Any 124 gr fmj load data you guys like with it? I also have the speer #14 book that list some at least.

Titegroup has a much faster burn rate than Win. 231. Hornady lists a load for a Sierra 125g FMJ bullet and the data should be a good starting point for a 124g FMJ.

Personally, I tend to load Berry's Bullets with suggested charge weights for the same weight lead bullet.

I load TG and 124 gr Xtreme and Berry's plated at 4.0-4.2 @ 1.135.

I have loaded thousands of 9mm plated bullets, as well as FMJ, JHP, and black bullets. I use 4.0-4.1 grains for everything I have that's either 124 or 125 grain. Obviously work your own load up to verify it will function and be safe, but start a bit under 4 and work up and you'll find a good load.

Yes, after doing some research on it it seems to be very easy to overcharge with tightgroup.
I hope i didnt make a mistake getting it becouse it will be shot outa a glock 19. Theres not a lot of room for mistake with it,seems very hot.

Titegroup always left my 9mm hot enough to brand cattle. I finally gave my last three lbs of it to a friend who was suffering for powder. It was better than nothing.

Titegroup is similar to Bullseye, rather fast and a little goes a long way. I like and use it, no problems. I normally use it with 115 9mm target/plinking loads, and the same with 45 acp, 200 grn.

Winchester 231 is a great powder. As my 9mm bullets get heavier I usually go with a slightly slower powder than Titegroup , not that it wouldn't work.

Titegroup is a versatile, and economical powder. I have used it for 9MM, .45, and .45 ACP with excellent results. Just be careful not to double charge, and you'll be fine.

A lot of shooters local to me use TG. I've used it before but found it wanting. So I got some VV N320 and haven't looked back. TG burns hot and seemed to degrade my FO front sight on a regular basis. I got a lot of practice replacing the rod. Since moving to VV N320 no FO rod replacements.

TG is inexpensive, it works and it was plentiful. I think it's coming back but I haven't checked.

I've been using TG for several years with 9mm Xtreme 115gr bullets. Loaded for a while at 4gr and now dropping back to around 3.5-3.6. It is a little dirty but a great and affordable powder.

Titegroup has done fine for me for anything from 115gr to 147gr.

One powder being marginally dirtier than the other matters little to me.

I use TG for 9mm, .40 and .45ACP. Its economical and versatile and most importantly AVAILABLE. I find it to be a little cleaner than Bullseye but since I always clean my weapons after firing them, I've never really cared about the slight difference in powders. It seems everyone thinks Unique is a dirty powder but I really like it and it would be great if I could find some.
