I literally heard the shot in the distance while I was walking to meet my wife for a drink. Crazy.

When we left LEO's were EVERYWHERE and sante Fe blvd was closed at Belleview going North.

Here's an article. Not much info at this time:

"KUSA - An FBI agent was shot in Littleton Friday afternoon, sources confirmed to 9NEWS. The agent's condition is not known."

Sounds like the FBI agent was hit in the leg and has a non-life threatening wound.

Officials said they were waiting for a federal warrant to enter the motel, which could take a couple of hours.

If they have a warrant for his arrest, and he shot at cops, and he's in the same hotel- why do you need a new warrant?

In Boston they pulled a whole neighborhood out of their houses looking for the Boston Bombers guy.

I do hope there is a full recovery, and a speedy return to duty.

Likely they are waiting on a search warrant. There are no existent circumstances if the bad guy is dead or in custody. To properly obtain evidence of the crime and/or shooting they will get a search warrant.

Guy is dead reportedly. They think he is a guy (Longhorn bandit or something) wanted for some recent bank robberies.

Good grief. I picked my wife up from Arapahoe Community College literally minutes before this went down.
