Hello gentlemen, I do not usually start threads but after typing this in the search and reading through some of the results I did not see a thread on this. I was hoping that you gents could chime in with some info on 300 black out mags. Specifically which mags you have had luck or lack there of and maybe the application of the weapon (SBR, 16 in, suppressed, etc)

I recently got my SBR lower stamp and also a stamp for my Saker 7.62. I have a PWS MK109 300 blk that I ran for the first time this past weekend. I used a G3 PMag 20 and I had no issues or malfs but a tad of resistance getting the mag seated correctly. I have a plethora of various mags from different manufactures but I was just wondering what you all have tried and your experiences. Online I have only found the D&H 300 blackout mag. I am surprised that Magpul has not offered a dedicated 300 blk mag, I know that most 5.56 .223 mags will work but even then it can be tedious with some mags.

Please your thoughts ?
Mods please redirect or delete if there is an existing thread on this and I apologise in that case.

The Lancer AWM's are one of the better mags for the 300blk.

These Wilson modified mags and the Lancer mags it is based off of has worked well for me. Even loading 245gr subsonic loads the modified mags do not bind like a pmag does.

The Lancer AWM's are one of the better mags for the 300blk.

This is what I use. No issues.

I've also used an old surplus 20rd mag for bench rest/load development. No issues with it either.

I've never had a single problem with pmags.

PMAGS and standard USGI mags have worked great for me using supersonic loads with M80 pulls, Speer 125TNTs, and VMAX 123g projectiles. With heavy cast subsonic loads I found that by using the D&H mags specifically for the blackout feeding reliability has went up. The ribs on the sides have been reduced allowing for fatter heavier rounds to feed easier. Considering they are only 11 bucks from PSA worth it.

I have used Lancer 20 round mags with a 16 inch 300 Black Out and I have had no mag related issues with the following different ammo: 110 grain vmax, 120gr OTFB Remington, 150gr FMJ, and 220gr OTM. No real reason for using Lancers over PMags, just wanted to keep the 300 BO ammo separate from my 5.56/.223. I haven't tested with PMags or aluminum GI mags yet.

Lancers and ETS mags have been flawless for me.

I use emags for factory 300 blk ammo and USGI mags for reloads. I do have issues with 190gr subsonic reloads in pmags and emags, no issues with USGI mags.

No issues for me with PMAGs, Lancers, USGI, or the newer Hex mags. All seem to work fine so far for 220grain subsonics. Though I don't have thousands of rounds, I do have several hundred rounds of experience with no issues. Gun is an LMT MRP with LMT 300BLK barrel.

Lancers and PMAGS - no problems with either. Lancers seem to have a little more clearance visually but functionally they both work just fine.
