View Full Version : Extra power spring for Glock +2 extension
Which extra power magazine spring is recommended for duty use on a Glock 22 magazine with Glock +2 extension installed.
I've had good luck with Wolff +10% springs in G17 mags with the +2s.

I use the stock spring with the TTI +3 base pads without issue.
I use stock spring with my +2s on my g17 mags and have never had a problem.

I believe Wolff recommends not to use their springs with a +2 extension other than the factory Glock +2 extension in 9MM.
I may have read it wrong but that's what I got from it.

Should take you direct to the magazine spring location.
Why...?
Why...?
I would imagine as a CYA because there are some extensions out there that are trash or use a proprietary mag spring. Myself and a friend has some aftermarket +2s that we got for $2 a piece, back in the day. Function wise, they were okay, no real issues. However, they had the lovely tendency to slide off your mag and dump rounds all over the place. More than once as we would be rolling out one of us would look down and see 9mm laying on the ground or in the carpet. We ditched them quick and fast. I sold mine along with some 10 round mags not long after that and have kept to factory baseplates since and +2s on my happy sticks.
I also used the stock springs with +2 extensions for thousands of rounds without issue. Aside from that, you can't go wrong with Wolff.
