Has anyone used them? They seem nice and affordable.

I'm looking to get one for my xd9 for iwb carry.

Can someone explain the advantages and disadvantages in the loops they use?

1)belt clip
2)J-Hoop
3)soft loop

The holster with the belt clip looks as if I could swap to the other two if need be without modification.

Nope, I have not used them but I have holster like them from other makers.

All I'll say is the devil is in the details sometimes, how a holster is produced, fitted, etc. It takes time. Not sure if someone is going to go the full mile on a $35 holster. But maybe they will. YMMV.

With regard to the loops, it's personal preference on what you like - I prefer the belt loop but also have J-hooks on some. Soft loops are too big and bulky for me.

Again, YMMV.

I need to get this xd lower than this crap uncle mikes. I'm new to concealed carry. If I had to pursue anyone this holster will cost me a pistol.

True on the cost, but I'll never find what I like if I don't start somewhere.

Also looking at a raven concealment phantom, but the BLC fits the bill at the moment. Can't be any worse than what I have now

For IWB, I love Garrett Industries Silent Thunder. Adjustable for cant and depth, leather lined Kydex. Good turnaround time, great quality.

I had an XD9SC years ago and it worked great in a Silent Thunder. I still have 3 of the holsters for my HKs and Walther PPS.

I was fortunate enough to win my first holster in a charity raffle, back when they were marketed by Tucker Gunleather. This has helped me avoid the "box of holsters that didn't work" to a large degree. Only drawback is don't make them for weapons with WMLs, but Detroit Holsters has me covered there.

For clips I've settled on the HD Standard clip, although the regular clip is fine but usually breaks after a couple years of use when I catch it on something or pull it off too aggressively.

I do like that design. I've looked at Bravo Concealment, Raven Concealment, Blue Line, and a buddy has an F3 for his g19. Also been told about the Gcode Incogs as well. Looking to go appendix carry. It's a lot of fun but I'm 5"10, 215 and a little on the boxy side so I think I can do it with the right holster

Went with the Blue Line Concealment iwb holster with belt clip. Spoke to the owner and he seems knowledgeable and pointed me in a good direction. Stay tuned, I'll review it. If it's not what I want or need, I'll continue my search!

I picked up one of their IWB /belt clip rigs off a prize table.
So far, pretty happy with it.
Good retention and grip position (not so high above belt line).

Anyone can make kydex holsters. Literally anyone.

Its the attention to details that matter. Every day multiple kydex guys "open for business" within a year 99% of them are gone.

Look at the fit and finish, look at the attention to detail. For $50-$60 you should be getting a high quality kydex aiwb holster. Unless its a big name, then they charge $90-$120 and you wait 9 months..because they are used by a handful of "operators"

I have Kydex at work, so much scrap. But, I'd rather someone who has been making them do a better job than me. The overhead for the rest of the parts, my labor and aggrevation to make 4 before I get one right would be significantly more expensive. If my holster that I bought works fine, I doubt I'll get another. We'll see.
