These guys make some of the best leather goods.

I don't do the metro-sexual lifestyle, so I'd go with a decent briefcase/backpack.

buffalo billfold company. They are in Worthington MN and the owner there makes some great stuff. You could probably find something there that would fit the bill.

Check out Saddleback Leather (http://www.saddlebackleather.com). Lots of great products and a 100 year warranty.

Second this, I actually have one of their satchels in coffee brown and use it as a briefcase. The quality is outstanding and is extremely rigid, feels like the bag could survive any type of abuse.

Next on the list for me is a camera bag. I have only praise for my medium wallet

I have a long list of wants still, since I don't need any of it I check the Dave's Deals page every day to see if I can snag one of the items at 25% off.

I have a nylon Tumi briefcase that I like, but I think that the only way I'm going to get what I want is if I get a custom made bag. Fifteen years on the road and I've gotten down to what I need and I'd like to get exactly that, in nice leather.

As a side note, I use the Grid-It systems in my bags now to organize all the electronics and cables I carry. It keeps things off the bottom for more 'space', plus I the bag gets pulled less for more TSA scrutiny since they can resolve what all the crap is in my bag.

Yeah, if a guy just has to have a European Shoulder Bag then it's pretty hard to bet Duluth Trading.

I carry a Briefcase/Laptop bag to work everyday.
You would be surprised what you can carry. I'm currently using the 511 http://www.511tactical.com/rush-delivery-xray.html and it's working out fine.
I do have a nice leather briefcase that's a bit fancier and I'm cautious to not use it everyday.

Just to clarify Duluth Trading offers several shoulder bags in high grade leathers.

I used to feel a similar way, but now that I carry a laptop to work every day (and with me at all times...) a satchel sounds pretty nice. I currently use a laptop backpack but it makes me look and feel like a college student. Not to mention it wrinkles up your shirt.

If a guy wants to carry a purse, whoops, I mean a European Shoulder Bag, well, there's nothing wrong with that...

I think quite a few of the Duluth bags looked remarkably similar to my wife's Dooney & Bourke bag.

They're simply scrumptious!

Saddleback leather, Medium briefcase, or Timbuk2 medium messenger bag. (The Timbuk2 Classic messenger bags, you can build your own, waxed canvas in not so obvious colors and no MOLLE)

i could honestly give two donkey penis's about molle. i want something nice, upscale looking (minus the $600 price tag), and leather.

Combat Flip Flops Claymore bag (http://www.combatflipflops.com/claymore-bag).

Yeah, it's not leather. But it is made in the USA, fits the broader theme of the thread, and is actually fairly inexpensive.

Hey, what are you saying, Chinese cowskins are only half as strong as 'Murican ones?

Look at 'about us' on their website - nothing about who makes them.

Not saying it is but wouldn't be surprised if it is one of these, you don't sell a legit $700+ bag for $339 just my opinion though.
