OK, so this is what I learned today and I am posting it because it may help out if someone else orders these sights.

I bought a set of Ameriglo Hackathorn sights, part GL 436, for the Glock 43 and the rear sight does not look like my other Hack sights. It is serrated, but it is the same general shape of the factory rear sight, i.e. it is not as deep front to back as the sight on my Glock 19. I thought it was just a mistake, or possibly a fake. All of the Hackathorn 43 sights I can find on the internet, including where I bought mine, show a photo of the deeper rear sight. I have to believe they are all using a stock photo because the 43 uses a different rear from what I learned.

I talked to Rick at Ameriglo and he confirmed that the 43 rear sight is different. According to him it uses the GL 414 rear sight and he walked me to it on the Ameriglo page (pistol sights > black sights > rear sights > GL 414 > "i" button for photo). I told him the photo was different than the sight I had, but he confirmed mine is the correct rear sight for the G 43 Hackathorn sight.

Hackathorn rear that I received. Note that it has 2 full width serrations.

Photo of GL 414 on Ameriglo's web site. Note that it has 4 full width serrations where mine has 2. Rick said the photo was a taller sight and not actually the 43 sight.

Also, Rick told me they would be making the deeper rear sight for the 43; availability approximately 45 days. I'm not sure why they didn't from the start unless it was to get an improvised Hack set out for the 43 while they tooled up for the real Hack rear. Anyway, I'm going to install and run it.

Thanks for posting, I had planned on buying a set of these this week. Guess I'll wait till the deep cut sets come out.

I received these same sights last week and can confirm that this is the rear sight being included. I don't prefer the rear sight picture over the traditional Hackathorn rear sight but don't find myself overly hindered by them either. It is a good thing to note, however, for those contemplating the purchase.

Has anyone recently purchased a set of the Hackathorn sight for the G42 or G43 that has the updated rear sight and if so, which Ameriglo part number is it, GL-435 or GL-436? Ameriglo only lists the GL-435 on their website for the G42/43 and they do not have a picture for reference. I have sent an email to them, but have yet to receive a reply.

Thanks in advance.

Got the Ameriglos in July for my 43.

Thanks! Are these the GL-435 or the GL-436? Myles from Ameriglo replied to my email yesterday, but he did not provide any updated images or clarity on whether the GL-436 is still available. He did say that the rear sight has changed is now very similar to the rear sight on the Defoor GT-517 set for the 43.

Not to get off topic, but how do you like the TTI base plates? I have been contemplating getting some, but have heard some bad reviews on the +2's, so I have held off.

Not the guy you were addressing, but i've got around 650 rounds through 4 mag's with the TTI +1 extensions and haven't had any issues with them. Haven't tried the +2's.

My reciept for the set calls them GL-705 protectors.

I have over 1800 rounds through the 2 mags with the Taran +1s without a hiccup. That total includes over 600 JHP rounds so I have total faith in them.

Nice. I just pulled out my G43 to see my set and it looks like the rear shape changed. Yours are squared whereas mine are angled on the edges. Much prefer yours. There is a second G43 in my near future for sure so I'm glad.
