Anyone know anything about this company?

I've only heard about their patroller chest rig that is supposed to be a nicely improved version of the MAV.

What little I've heard has been positive, for what it's worth.

One of the guys I used to shoot with at Bragg works there, and I got a tour of their plant. Also, the company that I work for bought their plates, and I've been wearing a set in Iraq for about 14 months over the last two years.

I've got some of their nylon, but haven't used it all that much. It appears to be built as well as anything else, and some of their designs are fairly unique. My bottom line with nylon is that if you play hard, you are going to tear it up, but this stuff is built as well as any of the other high end manufacturers.

The test plate that I saw (from the same series as the ones I wear) stopped six (6) 7.62x39 AP rounds, spaced about 3 inches between hits. Fortunately, I have not had this test performed on a set while I was wearing them. They are significantly more comfortable than any other plates I've worn.

There aren't very many folks selling their nylon, and they don't seem to aggressivly market it. I think they've got some gov contracts in the Bragg area, especially for the plates, but their biggest money maker is armor systems for HMMWVs, which might explain why they don't spend more time pushing their armor.

I havn't been in their area in a while, and don't know what they're doing currently doing, but I wouldn't hesitate to use any of their stuff. I was out on the street in Baghdad today wearing their plates, in preference to some of the other plates my company has purchased.

I like their pistol mag pouches and have some other gear from PPM that I use regularly also. I've converted a couple locals to the pistol shingles as well...

The VP of the company called me the other day and offered me a Distr. account. Not knowing much about the company, I thought I would ask. It appears that they are well thought of.

I think I read on TimW's site that they used to be Tactical Assault Systems or they bought TAS.

That wasn't me or my site. I don't have "news" on my website, and I don't know much about PPM other than people are happy with their SAP and MAP packs.

PPM just sent me these pics of their "tactical" car seat covers. Perfect for the PSD work.

TAS and PPM merged two years ago. Beofre that PPM primarily made armor systems. With ther merger the new company kept PPMs name and added the TAS product line.

Me too. I think that they might do well in the hurricane belt as you might find yourself patroling your neighborhood.

Price on them is $147 apiece and can be made to order.

Having been there and done just that, you are very right. Could come in handy for lots of other things as well.

I really like the second one down. One pouch for each Teletubby and the main pouch for snacks. Hey, it can't always be about death and destruction here. :p

You can also fit your cans of PBR in the grenade pouches for when you want to go out and shoot road signs while drunk! :D

Yep the stuff WORKS as advertised and doesn't cost a lot for what you get.

I have a bunch of items coming from them (including a 28" and 36" discreet carry bag that is not sold to the public). I will post pics when it all arrives.

I used their magazine pouches while I was deployed and loved them. I like the fact that that you can carry three rifle mags per pouch but are still tight enough to hold only two mags firmly. The cover has velcro so it can be rolled out of the way for easy access. All-in-all a great piece of equipment.

Just got some of these in for T/E. I gotta agree with your comments. The ability to customize the size is a great feature.
