The one and only, Jerry Miculek, was on Outrageous Acts of Science and did this 1000 yard shot holding the gun upside down! Anyone see that? Jerry is not human. I couldn't find the episode on the shows YT page (https://www.youtube.com/show/outrageousactsofscience) of the show to post, so here's next best thing from Jerry's YT page. But upside down, without the RDS, makes this shot look easy:

Looks like the splash actually popped the balloon, not the bullet itself.

Still, very impressive shot!

I like his work. It shows what you can really do with a wheel gun.

FIFY.

I like that he took the shot in double-action.

I also like that he just basically threw the moon clip at the cylinder and the cartridges just fell into the right places: Makes me want to get Smith's L-frame 9mm.

FIFY. Point taken. Personally, I have never tried to hit anything with a handgun beyond 300 yards.

WOW. I was impressed when Bob Munden did a 200 yard shot with a .38 snub.

Bob went 300 with a 1911 also. Bob was an amazing shooter to be sure.

300 yards with a 1911 is a heckuva long shot. Hold over would be in the neighborhood of 16 feet. If you canted the pistol the slightest bit, the shot would be way off target.

You can find it on YT some place. I'd still say 1000 yards holding the gun upside down, far more impressive, but I couldn't do either if my life depended on it.

The thing that I enjoy most about JM, aside from his shooting, is that he seems to have an outrageously fun time doing it.

Jerry admitted that it took MANY shots to zero in on the target.

While I admire Jerry's phenomenal revolver skills, sometimes he puts out goofy items such as his shooting two AR's at the same time using sig braces. Nothing special in accomplishing that. Could be done by most anyone. Maybe its the cajun spices ingested over time. ;)
