I'd prefer the Emperor's nakedness finally be revealed. The more radical they get, the more they push the moderates the other way. The moderates were leaning left for years because they were sick of the right constantly adding new laws and government programs to regulate and restrict moral behaviors with which conservatives disagreed. For example, most people supported gay marriage with the attitude of "Oh, for Pete's sake, just let them get married and leave them alone!" They thought, as I did, the idea of a Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage was utterly idiotic. But then the left went further and said no, you're not allowed to just let them get married. You must openly and actively support them. You must not be allowed to even personally be opposed to the idea. Those who oppose it must be forced to support it. And now, spurred on by last week's string of legal victories, they've taken a step further and said, you know what? While we're at this, let's just bring down the whole system, because that was the plan anyway. Suddenly, the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck look like the lesser of two evils to moderates.
As I've said before, I fear we could be looking very soon at something similar to the Troubles in Northern Ireland in parts of our country. I hope not, but the radicalism is reaching its peak. However, as they get more radical the support for such operations wouldn't be very popular, so maybe it's a good thing they're doing this now.
While not attempting to take away anything from what is happening now; what is happening now is really a tempest in a tea cup compared to 1967-70.
In other words, it's going to take a lot to get to how bad it was back then.

We changed the name of this event to "Burn the American Flag." We did this for several reasons, all of which are hopefully obvious, and should ring true to everyone with a conscious. The Confederate flag has long been a symbol of white supremacy, slavery, and Jim Crow. However, the Confederacy lost the war the American flag has unceasingly, from the first day it was ever hung, represented the exact same thing.
It is the under the banner of the American flag that millions of black people have been incarcerated in this system of 21st century chattel slavery. It is under the American flag that Iraq, Vietnam, Nicaragua, and a countless list of countries were bombed into oblivion. It is under the American flag that Eric Garner, Akai Gurley, Sean Bell, and countless other black men were executed. And it is under the American flag that black people have never found justice. As Malcolm X said for black people "if you are south of the Canadian border you're in the south."
It is for this reason we changed the name: to not create any confusion about where we stand, and to make it crystal clear that the American system in its entirety must be condemned. Both flags are American flags and both flags deserve the same disdain from all of us.
Who cares, its not like anyone is going to stop them. The only people with balls for action are the ones doing things like burning flags, stomping on flags, tearing flags from government buildings, Adam and Steve getting hitched, etc. The only people you see who disagree are the ones on the sidelines bitching about it and nothing else.

The hate the United States, period. The radicals are now feeling bold enough to say exactly what we've been told we were paranoid for warning people about for years. It is the very definition of political radicalism: The belief that the system is completely rotten at its very foundation and thus, can never be fixed and therefore must be completely destroyed and replaced with an entirely new system. I was in Cody, WY for the Wild West Shootout in front of the Irma Hotel last week. The oldest person and the oldest vet got a free poster and they did the American Anthem before the show started. 'Wild Bill' started the show by saying that we don't burn or stomp the flag in Cody, and you'd better not try.
If we were smart, we'd be indentiying these jack asses and tying them back to Progressive candidates and organizations. I really do think that the Progressives have overreached and they aren't aware of it and will press further and there will be a backlash- hopefully right in time for the next election.

I disagree. The country is swinging right because your average American is tired of this bullshit. I'm telling ya, about half of the people who support gay marriage only do so the liberals could get it and shut the f$&# up already. The left is just getting louder and more radical so it seems like the country is swinging left. But outside academia and the liberal cities, people are fed up with this. Political correctness is out of control, and even attempts by the right to abide by these PC rules STILL gets them stomped on.
But what are we afraid of? They slander us on Facebook and Twitter, write blogs about us, make empty threats, hold protests...why are we so afraid? We back track and cower before them all the time, and it has gotten us nowhere but backed into a corner. If they won't compromise, we shouldn't either. I'm not saying go out of our way to offend and provoke. But no more apologizing. When they demand an apology, we need to deliver an ultimatum: Use physical violence to get me to apologize. Make no threats, but offer to let them make threats. If they want anything else, they are going to have to arm themselves, organize, and resort to terrorism. But the thing is, they aren't willing to do that. If those who oppose the radical left drew that line in the sand, it would make them more open to talks. They're too cowardly to do anything else.

Well to be fair, VP in charge of what exactly? I have someone in my family who was a exec at Leman bros. They were Senior VP in charge of events. That is, when Leman would put on a big shindig, it was their job to pull it off, arrange all the entertainment, food, rooms, transportation to and from the airports for upwards of 2000 people. I mean as party favors, they'd give out Rolex watches.. They had 175 people under them who they were responsible for. When Leman went tits up they also got kicked to the curb, So, a firm like Goldman-Sachs probably has a lot of VP's in charge of something, Now if she was senior VP at the top, (honestly I don't know,) then yeah, we have a problem here.. Banks are notorious for title inflating. Nearly everyone working at a bank wears the title of VP. It is meaningless.
If she were a senior VP at the top she couldn't have afforded the pay cut. We're getting a bit paranoid here folks.....
