The newly forbidden terms were initially identified in a 2007 American Psychologist publication by Columbia University’s Psychology and Education Professor Derald Wind Sue, that has now become a key training primer for incoming faculty at schools including the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Columbia University - I'm not surprised as it is a bastion of American socialism.

From the article...

The relatively new term refers to small slights and snubs that may not have been intended, but may be taken as minor insults.

So what? Minor insult? Grow the hell up. If you are traumatized by minor insults there is something wrong with you. Your "offense" to a comment does not trump my right to self expression.

Not in today's world my friend. Everyone is actively looking for ways to feel offended, and then when "offended" something must be done about it.

I find it sad that T-ball rules (everyone is a winner regardless of effort or accomplishment) have come to the so-called adult world.

Asking people where they are from is an insult?

If where you are from shows a higher per capita income than theirs. Apparently insults can only flow up, but if your a trans-gender American Indian on a reservation with mixed race parents who are divorced, one in El Paso and one in Detroit... Then the insult world is your oyster!

Kind of like back in the AIDS heyday, if you were a homosexual Haitian hemophiliac IV drug user you were screwed!

In a very weird way Affirmative Action being implemented was very good for me.
I was trying to become an apprentice through the union working heavy equipment. After all of my efforts were for naught and being told off to the side, "We aren't going to accept any white male applicants" I hitch hiked the Army recruiting office and enlisted and was off to basic the next day.
Had this not happened I would likely still be hustling from one construction job to the next and dealing with that same kind of crap.
35 or so years later I have a nice .mil retirement, a job in the defense industry and any feeing I may have ever had that might even loosely be considered "liberal" have been thoroughly removed from my grey matter.
Is it right? Is it fair? Those things don't even concern me anymore and jerks that spout that kind of crap just make me laugh.

Affirmative action and other "race based" policies were never about equality.

Black racism, even forms considered benign like the NAACP, were never about equality.

How is that racist?

Does this mean the leftys think the "right person" is only white?

Hell...I know several whites I would NEVER hire to work for me in any capacity. Totally worthless human beings and they are as white as I am.

...what nonsense

When dealing with racism, logic rarely applies.

Black racists believe the "black community" has unified common values and unique needs that make them distinct from all other people. Ironically the only other group that believes the same thing with respect to the "black community" is the KKK and they only differ in how those "needs" should be addressed.

That's racist, but handing out jobs based race quotas isn't.

Stuff like this should be really easy to make people look stupid for agreeing with.

Everything is racist now days. I'm racist, you're racist, polar bears are racist, etc. The progressives have worn out the term like a $.50 hooker. Does anyone actually take offense when accused of being a racist? They want it to make in impact like kryptonite does to superman and expect you to curl up in the fetal position and surrender. I've never given a shit about it but if it's possible, I give a shit even less right now. Yes, the most qualified person should get the job. As Rev James Manning said, affirmative action is a law that says what is required of the white race is not required of blacks.

I could care less about being called a racist, if it gets to that point I can only guess I've won the argument.

That is why I just say, "You got me, slick, I'm a big old racist. Now what?"

It's the same as the old, "When everything is an emergency, there are no emergencies" adage.

When the "racist" label starts getting thrown around, it's simply a way to muck up the discussion and put someone on the defensive. So embrace that shit.

Take some of the El Duderino's tactics, and apply them:

Leftist Troll: "You're a racist."
Lebowski: "Yeah. That's just, like, your opinion, man."

Once you are referred to as a racist, the tactic of the left is to put you on the defensive, attempting to explain how you aren't a racist, and the debate goes south.

**** em. Embrace it. Take the meaning away from the word.

There is no greater form of argumentative sophomoricism than to start labeling people racists. It's proof you're dealing with amateurs.

So it would be O.K. to say: "I believe the least qualified person should get the job"?

Here you go, Mr. Least qualified pilot training candidate. Your instructor is also one of the least qualified.

Good luck!

If you survive the upcoming crash, you'll be treated by the least qualified medic.

Good luck!
