I've been carrying a Benchmade 550 Griptillian w/ partial serrations for a few years. It's time for a new knife.

I think I really want the ZT 0566, but I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions. These are the current front runners:

- Zero Tolerance Hinderer 0566

- Zero Tolerance Model 0350

- Spyderco C81GPBK2 ParaMilitary2

- Spyderco C101GPBBK2 Manix2

I like all black w/ NO serrations.

Manix 2 all black. Great knife for the money I think.

It's hard to beat the size and weight of a PM2. I have a 0350 and a 0560, but they seldom get carried due to their size and weight. I think the ZT knives are great outdoor knives, but the PM2 is just about the perfect EDC knife.

Have you considered custom scales for your Griptilian? I have 4 with WilkinsGrips scales and love them. I've gone through Spyderco and ZT phases, came back to the Grips with scales.

My favorites in the kinda price range would be the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 in black/black, ZT0620 or the 0801 in blackwash.

Spyderco PM2 IS great. The Spyderco Gayle Bradley might be tied for my favorite and may be a tougher overall knife. Manix 2 is great also.
Benchmade 710 is a great knife.
Strider SnG and SMF are my favorites.

I've owned and carried all of them. The PM2 is still in my stable due to the ergos.

I find the ZT0562 covers all the bases, closest you'll come to a XM18 for the money!

This is my favorite folder currently.

0566 BW, juiced up with a little LSCF scale action.

^This is the correct answer!

I have a ZT 0566. It's an okay knife overall. But compared to the other ZT knives I have, it is the weakest in several regards. One of the biggest is the AO action. It is horribly weak, even when compared to my plain old Kershaw knives.

Get the ZT 0562 instead. I like the grip of the regular one with G10 scales over the carbon fiber.
