ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (July 7, 2015) – Federal authorities raided the home of Subway spokesman Jared Fogle Tuesday morning. FBI sources told FOX59 state and federal investigators were serving warrants at Fogle’s Zionsville home in connection with a child pornography investigation.
The raid started around 6 a.m. Tuesday. An evidence truck could be seen parked in the driveway. Investigators from the FBI and Indiana State Police were at the scene.
Heavy.com says he used to run a porn rental business out of his dorm room at college. Who knew? :confused:

I dont work for the FBI but to me it seems that if they were just wanting the computers to gather evidence against the guy they could have just gotten a warrant for the computers. Would have been fast and easy. But the fact that they showed up unannounced and had a warrant for the whole house it makes me think there is something more to this.
When was the last time anybody read in news articles that the feds didn't go overboard in handling search warrants, big or small. It is easier to justify your already over inflated budget.

Fogle’s lawyer, Ron Elberger, told FOX59 Fogle was not aware of the FBI search warrant prior to the raid at the Zionsville house Fogle shares with his wife and two children. Fogle’s children were in the house when investigators arrived, but they were quickly moved to another location as investigators began searching the property.
Elberger released the following comment:
Jared has been cooperating with law enforcement and its investigation of certain unspecified activities and looks forward to its conclusion.
Jared has not been arrested, detained or charged with anything.
Fogle has not been arrested or charged with any crime as of late Tuesday afternoon. Some neighbors, and even Subway corporate officials, speculate that the investigation is tied to the April arrest of the former director of the Jared Foundation, Russell Taylor.
I'm thinking if they had anything they would have found it by now.

The svelte fast food spokesman is expected to plead guilty to child pornography charges five weeks after federal investigators raided his Indiana home, an Indianapolis television station reported.
The U.S. attorney in Indianapolis was due to reveal the details at a Wednesday news conference, according to Fox59 News.
The station reported that Fogle, in a plea bargain deal, will admit to possession of child pornography.

“Middle school girls are hot,” suspended fast-food pitchman Jared Fogle reportedly told the stunned reporter on several ossasions in the past 10 years.
“He said something to me when we were off camera and that really stuck with me,” she told WWSB-TV in Sarasota. “I thought to myself, ‘Did he really say that to me?’”
The woman, whose identity was withheld, said she was so disturbed by the fast food spokesman’s comment that she reached out to the FBI.
“They weren’t jokes,” she told the station. “They were very serious ... It goes deeper than that.”
She claimed the middle school remark was followed by even more disgusting comments, but refused to go into specifics.
I wonder if he knew he was sick and wanted to get locked up, throwing that kind of stuff out to a reporter.
Authorities reportedly discovered 400 vile videos, some with children as young as 9, in the jailed suspect’s possession.
He probably was all in it with the guy who ran his foundation.

Under the deal, Fogle would serve between five and 12 years in prison, pay $1.4 million in restitution to 14 minor victims, register as a sex offender and meet other conditions.
According to the indictment, the head of the Jared Foundation, Russell Taylor, secretly taped 12 minors while they were changing clothes, showering and bathing at his home, including two who were as young as 13 or 14 years old. He shared the images with Fogle, who knew they showed minors, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said Fogle also received commercial child pornography from Taylor and viewed it and failed to report it.
Fogle traveled to New York City at least twice between 2010 and 2013 seeking sex with minors, and paid for sex acts twice with a girl he knew to be 17 years old. He told the girl he would "make it worth her while" if she could find him another minor to have sex with, "the younger the girl, the better," according to the indictment.
Prosecutors said he repeatedly asked prostitutes and others to find him 14- and 15-year-olds for sex.
If they put him in general population he is gonna get eaten alive; I bet that was part of his plea bargain- to not be in general pop. What a sicko!

That is where we are headed. It will eventually be decriminalized and classified as a "mental disorder" at first then pushed as just another "preference" and "alternative lifestyle".

My thoughts as well. 5-12 years?!?!?! Talk about getting off easy- that's just sick and basically a slap on the wrist for the crimes he committed. I hope he gets put in general population- but I highly doubt it...

My guess is the case wasn't a slam dunk and they offered him a plea deal. He looked at it as either taking 5 years and still probably being rich when he gets out (able to move) or try and win the court case and looking at much much longer.
Only 15 years for his crimes, but considering how such people are viewed in prison, it will be a long stay for Jared. Always thought he was creepy.
Ex-Subway pitchman sentenced to 15-1/2 years on child sex charges
Former Subway sandwich chain pitchman Jared Fogle on Thursday was sentenced to 15-1/2 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to child pornography and sex charges.
Fogle, who became famous after losing weight on a diet that included sandwiches from the fast-food chain, agreed in August to a deal with prosecutors under which he would plead guilty to charges of child pornography and traveling for illicit paid sex with minors.
Fogle agreed in court on Thursday to avoid pornography, get sexual disorder treatment and will be a registered sex offender. U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt also sentenced him to a lifetime of supervision and a $175,000 fine.
Pratt went beyond what either side wanted: prosecutors had sought a 12-1/2 year sentence, while Fogle's attorneys had asked for five years.
"The defendant was obsessed with child pornography and sex with minors," Pratt said. Fogle was remanded to the custody of a U.S. Marshall, and Pratt recommend he go to a federal prison in Littleton, Colorado.
Dr. John Bradford, a forensic psychiatrist testifying for the defense at the sentencing hearing, said Fogle was mostly attracted to older female teenagers 16 and 17 years old, not prepubescent children.
Prosecutors countered the testimony by reading a text from Fogle in which he said he wanted younger prostitutes, "the younger the better."
Bradford also said Fogle has an alcohol problem, and had a compulsive eating disorder that moved into "hypersexuality" after he lost weight.
"He traded a horrible food addiction for a horrible sex addiction," said defense attorney Jeremy Margolis.
Fogle spent at least $12,000 a year or more on prostitutes, and had a number of extramarital affairs, prosecutors said.
Fogle cried during his statement before sentencing, saying his wife and children would never get over this.
"You gave your wife $7 million, she'll be okay," Pratt responded. Fogle's wife filed for divorce, according to media reports.
Fogle said he now acknowledges that the minors involved had been gravely harmed.
Subway fired Fogle when reports of the plea agreement emerged. He has already begun to pay $1.4 million in restitution to 14 victims who are minors.

I realize some 16 and 17 year olds can look like 21 year olds, but if that is what you are attracted to then YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. If you are specifically attracted to 16 and 17 year olds, but not anyone 18, 19 or 20 then it really doesn't matter that you aren't attracted to 8 and 9 year olds, you still have a problem.

I watched the Dr. Phil episodes (Yeah, I know) about the Woman that turned him in after hooking up with the FBI. 15 years is a slap on the wrist for what this cunt deserves to happen to him. He will get preferential treatment, and not be in gen pop very often, if ever.
Why does this case interest people? Because he's "famous?" I've seen and ran enough history checks to see a pattern that a sentence of 10 yrs and under seems to be the average for child predators. I've seen numerous times people who have done comparable or more time for possession of hard drugs (WoD to blame for this). I've also never even heard of someone receiving death for crimes against children. I honestly believe the legal system does not view it as a serious enough crime.

The cynical view is the "there but for the grace of God go I" spiel.
Lots of pervos get in the legal side of LE. These judges and attormeys are all buddies at the club. If they set a harsh precedent , then they might have to live with it. Same with the ones who meddle in dope and dole out direct diversion and so on. It's not like they piss in a cup on a regular basis.
Then it's the numbers game. Numbers numbers numbers.
So and so getting 15 years suspended sentence with time served or doing 5 in prison with 10 on probation counts as a conviction. Lots and lots of plea dealing.
It's a racket. I've yet to meet a DA or a Judge who actually gave a damn. Well....maybe one or two but they died of old age. Most now just try not to get overturned on appeal.

I wasn't the least bit surprised to read this. Anyone that ever watched "To Catch A Predator" could take one look at ol Jared and tell he likes them young. I think he'll make someone (or many someones) a great girlfriend during his stay.
