So flying the rebel flag at a monument is bad because it might motivate some "on the fringe" type to shoot up a church but wiping your ass with the US flag as an expression of "anti white" racism is ok because that would never motivate some "on the fringe" type.

I would characterize this as treason, or a hate crime at minimum, seeing as doing this to a rainbow flag or even another nation's flag (cultural sensitivity and all that) would land one in jail. You can't give these progressives any quarter.
