If I had the extra dough lying about, I might have a carbine done one day.

as cool as the Battle Worn stuff looks(friken awesome) i don't think i could pay someone to paint my gun to make it look like it has been used. I like to do than on my own. It almost seems kinda .... http://emoticoner.com/files/emoticons/smiley_faces/gunsmiley-face.gif (http://emoticoner.com)

You cant go wrong with a good old cammo pattern. I really like the american flag stuff. that would be SWEET!!

Is a lot of money. When I did my IDF years ago, I tied 550 cord to the front sight and took it over the gravel. I think I would do the Krylon on a range beater first.

I have a Century WASR10 that had such a shitty coating, that it rubbed off after a few range trips and some cleaning. Now I have a fairly new rifle that looks like it was dug out of a latrine in Trashcanistan.

My Arsenal slr-101 had the same crappy finish that wore off just like yours after some range time. I touched it up with some flat black rustolium enamel on the end of a cu-tip. holds up better than the original finish.

Mike at BDL is a god among men. The Boba Fett themed guns he just did are freaking amazing.

I don't mind the theme guns at all, in fact I feel a Mass Effect theme build coming on, but the "battle-worn" look is somewhat childish to me. It's almost akin to the musician who purchases a "Willie Nelson special" at the guitar shop to look cool when he plays to a crowd of hipsters and cool kids.

Some of the schemes reminded me of the old Battletech figurines of my ill-spent and wasted youth. If I were rich I'd get one of those Sci Fi patterns.

That would be pretty awesome, I've wanted to do a N7 build myself.
