I think this will be treated like armed vehicles.

That said, I think regulating drones is going to prove difficult and as soon as criminal elements become sophisticated enough, drive by shootings will be a thing of the past.

Yes and yes. Should drones be part of the Second Amendment? Yes, definitely, as should machineguns and lots of other things that are now treated as illegal or at best highly regulated with the goal of deterring ownership. But how will they be treated - I'd give about 10,000:1 odds that they are treated as illegal or at best a "destructive device" under the NFA.
