View Full Version : Anyone have any high round count Glock 17 Gen 4's?
I've seen Todd Green's over at PistolForum but I was wondering if anyone else had any reports on Gen 4's that have gone say over 25k rounds?
I've got one with 10k plus
Yes, mine passed 25k at least a couple years ago.
Have either of you seen any wear in the inside of the dust cover area due to the recoil spring? I have seen this in some gen 4 23s, just curious if it occurs in the 17 and 19.

This was discussed in my 2013 AC recert. Early gen4s showed some friction wear from the RSA in the area of the front frame rails. They since have more relief in that area.
No, I haven't seen any wear but I sure do see lots of empty casings laying around from all of the ammo that thing eats. Well north of 10k and never EVER had a malfunction.
I bought mine in late 2011. So far it's got 5,150 rounds through it. When it was new I got a BTF about one in fifty rounds. I didn't bother me, but my armorer friend ordered the then new 30274 ejector, several thousand rounds later with no BTF.

Not a G17, but my EDC Gen4 G19 is now at 15,200 rounds (purchased July 2011) no wear apparent in the area in question, using the original RSA still.
